I was fully expecting a clean scent from the scent profile & other reviews. I didn't expect it to be so universally flattering & such a great unisex fragrance! My dad used Irish Spring soap when I was growing up & maybe it's just me but I get a hint of that kind of soapy scent & I love it. I've been an EB fan for a few years already so I've had the opportunity to layer with a few of her other fragrances & that's opened up entirely different scents. Layering Rives with Myth gives a sexy skin scent quality, with Salt it deepens to a clean, musky aquatic & with Florist I got a completely different warm feminine scent. I plan on getting my hands on this stuff everytime the vault opens! My ONLY complaint would be the longevity but it kind of goes with the territory of clean fragrance. EB does do a much better job with smells that stick around than any of the other clean houses I've personally tried.

Clean, slightly soapy finish (in a good way!,) leans unisex, and i cannot stop sniffing myself. The scent shifts slightly as it dries, and just gets yummier. I use a very light spray that lasts upwards of 6 hours.

I’ve always thought Mens cologne smelled better than perfume. This scent is the best of both and I absolutely love it!

This scent is light and beautiful. As other EB scents, it smells much better after it has dried down. At first it smells a little "green" but then settles into a beautiful, clean, and calming scent. I definitely recommend if you like a subtle, soapy scent.

I am such a fan of Ellis Brooklyn and making my way through all the scents. I am absolutely addicted. I love Rives. It is perfect for warm weather . Green. Crisp. Clean. Refreshing.
